The Chinnor Wolves offer Tag and Touch rugby to players with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their friends and siblings from 6 years to 18 years old. We aim to get players with a vast range of abilities playing non-contact rugby in a club environment.
At Chinnor RFC we believe rugby should be a community activity open to everyone, and want to integrate the newly formed Wolves into the heart of the club, playing in the same kit and alongside our Mini and Junior teams on a Sunday morning.
The session are designed to enable the players to build fitness, co-ordination and confidence, whilst making new friends, and having fun running around with an egg shaped ball.
We currently support a number of players who train weekly, as well as organising matches, tournaments and social events with other SEND and Mixed Ability teams both locally and nationally .
The Wolves train next to pitch 6 at the clubs ground in Thame between 10am and 11am every Sunday morning. The squad is fully inclusive, and everyone is welcome regardless of your level of physical ability or where you sit on the spectrum.
All the coaches undertake regular training, have extensive experience in coaching children of all ages and abilities, and have been DBS checked by both the club and the RFU.
