After some of the team spent a long time wrestling with the Reading one way system it wasn't surprising that the hours delay in kicking off sapped some of the resolve of the Colts for the friendly against Redingensians. Nevertheless a good match against a strong side is what the guys needed to set the training agenda before the Colts Cup campaign starts later in the month.

Highlights? A return of the Mack at fly half from Tommy Mac, who showed creativity and daring all through the match and storming through the opposition scoring both Chinnor tries. Windy conditions (but at least the rain stayed in Wales) made the line-outs a lottery, and a strong Reading pack weren't calmed until later in the game. Welcome return for Matt B, and good to see the front row back to full strength.

No need for heads to drop as plenty of potential on show.
