Maidenhead Colts 31 Chinnor Colts 22
After a minutes silence for our fallen Soldiers Chinnor kicked off their 2nd league game against a mighty wind and for all of wrong decision making we would have been 7- 0 up in the first minute It was then the turn of the hosts as Maidenhead broke away with there first attack and scored with the conversion being missed. 5-0. This was then followed by two tries from Maidenhead from their lineout which was mauled effectively over the Chinnor line one conversion being made 19-0. This stirred Chinnor and then 2 of our own mauled tried from a lineout with captain Alfie Tolley touching down both conversions missed. 19-10. A couple of changes made at halftime and a few choice words from the coaches did have the effect they wanted right away as Maidenhead scored again from the lineout to make it 24-10. Chinnor came back at Maidenhead with you guessed it another try from a maul with Charlie Nicholls going over. Max McMinn duly converted. 24-17. Chinnor now had belief and were pressing hard when a great break from McMinn followed but a couple of phases of play sat Tom Dobson in the corner. McMinn hit the post with his conversion attempt 24-22. With Chinnor now put all the pressure on Maidenhead everyone thought the winning try may come alas it did not with Maidenhead clearing their lines and for a cruel bounce of the ball a Maidenhead player gathered it and went over for the final score of 31-22.

The league looks a little tough now to finish at the top but we have to remember that we are now in the top league in the 3 counties and certain mistakes will be punished.
