What difference a week makes, with a squad of 21 to take on Milton Keynes all the players can be very proud of a fantastic performance. Although we lost 12 – nil, the effort and application from start to finish was just what we are looking for. Both sets of parents and coaches commented on the high standard of rugby and commitment shown.
With the score 0 – 0 at half time and the need for some injury substitutions there was all to play for, the breakthrough came 15 mins into the second half, after some resolute defending Milton Keynes winger managed to get the ball down in the corner which was converted with a very difficult kick going over, making the score 7-0. As we pushed on trying to get level, they had a break down the wing to make the final score 12-0.

Whilst I could mention every individual and comment on skills well executed, I am only going to name one, Elliot Ford, who put in two of the most perfect tackles on their big hit man and stopped him dead in his tracks.

A final thanks to those players who in the true team spirit played out of position to cover injuries without complaint.

We must maintain this level, and move up to the next, for our match with Chipping Norton on Sunday 9th of November.
