This was a game of two half’s or even four quarters.
Playing in 15 min periods the teams were split A and B, each playing two fifteen minute quarters.
Overall the A’s lost 0 – 31 and the B’s lost 0 – 22. Whilst it was disappointing not to score any points our overall performance and effort were not in question. Buckingham’s tries were mostly scored from the wing were they had a couple of strong runners.
What the matches did show is that we have strength in depth in a number of positions and if we put our minds to it we can compete in the breakdown areas.
There are some clear things for us to work on in training before our next match at Milton Keynes.
I am certain all the players enjoyed the “matchday experience†and are to be thanked for their exemplary behaviour and the support they offered each other.
The overall result was 0 – 53.
