Chinnor’s U13 Black team faced Marlow A Team in their first proper test of the season and came away 29 – 7 winners.
Chinnor played a dynamic game, off loading the ball at contact and keeping it alive or recycling quickly when a ruck was formed. This produced sustained waves of rapid attack and despite a spirited Marlow defence, the relentless pressure yielded 5 tries, two of which were converted.
There were too many strong individual performances to name them all but it was a joy to see Josh Nixon stretch one arm over the line for his first try of the season and Henry Day took ‘in your face’ backrow play to a whole new level.
