On Dolly’s 73rd Birthday the Wildboys were hosting Amersham and Chiltern, in what was sure to be a thrilling encounter.
It was a glorious afternoon for rugby and the day had so far been graced with ‘the light of a clear blue morning,’ the team were looking rather beautiful, each of them a ‘heartbreaker,’ and with that the Skipper George White readied his men and yelled ‘I really got the feeling.’
Chinnor were at once on the front foot and thought they had scored as the ball was collected from the back of a ruck by Dan Coulon, it then went from ‘9 to 5,’ seeing Mark Bradburn glide down the wing, he then released George White who dived over the line, only to be flagged as having stepped into touch.

The Wildboys very own ‘Romeo,’ George Hope, helped himself to a couple of tries in quick succession and Amersham were now surely thinking ‘why, why, why.’
The next try came from Dan Coulon, who as usual wound his way through, showing ‘the little things’ can do it too.

Tom had different ideas and like a ‘dagger through the heart’ he started blowing so dived for the line for a dramatic slide in, only to come up short. As the crowd, opposition and his team mates jeered he felt the ‘burning’ embarrassment and screamed ‘daddy come and get me.’
It was another fine performance from the Wildest of boys and next week they travel to Bracknell for a top of the table clash, until then keep it wild…
