CHINNOR Wildboys made it 11 wins in a row as they earned a hard-fought victory over Milton Keynes at Kingsey Road.
Karl Crockford, Ben McIntosh, Ben Smith and Dean Collins crossed as our 3rd XV remain five points clear at the top of Counties 1 Southern North.
The visitors started well, dominating possession and territory, and opened the scoring with an unconverted try following a good line break.
However, we responded well to the early setback and went 7-5 up on 12 minutes. Going through the phases off a lineout, the result was prop Crockford going over the whitewash and scrum-half Charlie Nicholls adding the extras.
Just five minutes later and our lead became seven points. Great play from our forwards led to quick ball through the backs and wing McIntosh went over in the corner for his sixth try of the season.
We headed into the break 12-5 in front and the beginning of the second half proved to be a scrappy affair with limited chances for both teams.
With centre Andrew Prosser yellow carded, Milton Keynes cut into our lead with a penalty - but our Wildboys were to respond with two further tries to secure the five points.
Quick ball again set up the third score with fly-half Smith crossing, before flanker Collins dived over for our fourth after more great work from the forwards sucked in the visitors.
Our Wildboys are back on the road this week, visiting Swindon College Old Boys.
