CHINNOR RFC Thame and the Cyster family would like to thank everyone who organised and attended the third Lauren Cyster Megabowl Trophy.
More than 400 people watched the match between Lauren's XV and Blackheath 2nd, with your kind donations raising an outstanding £2,700 for the Oncology Ward at the Churchill Hospital.
It was a fantastic day at Kingsey Road and we hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon as we remembered our beloved head physio.
Lauren's mum, Brenda, said: "I just want to express my continued thanks to the Club for what they do for the Oncology Ward.
"And like Blackheath, I think Chinnor would have done the same for another club as the rugby community always stand together.
"It's overwhelming and I just want to thank everyone. People's generosity never fails to amaze me. I just look at that pitch and I can still see her out there with her headset on, no matter the weather. Thank you, everyone."
The match went down to the wire, with Blackheath edging the 40-minute contest 19-18.
Our forwards were dominant throughout, with hooker Charley Robinson scoring a hat-trick of tries, but we just fell short.
