Jake Ashby handed his debut in first home game of the season

SCRUM-HALF Jake Ashby will make his debut when Chinnor host Hull Ionians at Kingsey Road tomorrow.

Josh Hodson and George Oliver are also set for their first starts of the season in the National League 1 fixture.

They are among eight changes, three positional, as Chinnor bid to bounce back from last weekend’s 26-14 defeat at Richmond.

Tom Fidler, Nick Selway and Josh McNulty again make up the front row, with Joe Dancer replacing Shek Sheriff at lock alongside Ben Thomas.

Ofisa Treviranus remains at blind-side flanker, with Oliver coming in for the rested Carl Kirwan at open-side, while Willie Ryan continues at No 8.

Ashby replaces Will Flinn at nine with fly-half Laurence May keeping his place, while Danny Barnes steps up from the bench to start at inside centre.

Hodson, who had shoulder surgery over the summer, returns to the starting line-up on the left wing, with Will Harries on the right as the former Wales international switches from full-back.

Chris Elder has been moved back to 15, with Jason Worrall at outside centre after starting both games so far on the wing.

Ben Manning and Caolan Ryan are named on the bench for the first time this season.

Chinnor: Elder, Harries, Worrall, Barnes, Hodson, May, Ashby, Fidler, Selway, McNulty, Thomas, Dancer, Treviranus, Oliver, W Ryan.
Reps: George, Robinson, Manning, Yawayawa, C Ryan.
