CHINNOR RFC Thame is pleased to confirm three pre-season friendlies for our Senior Squad this month.

Our First XV will prepare for the National League 1 season with games against Carmarthen Quins and Blackheath.

While our Second XV – the Falcons – are set to host our Oxfordshire counterparts Banbury.

Welsh Premier Division side Carmarthen have visited Kingsey Road before and we will play host on Saturday, August 21. Kick-off will be at 3pm and the game will be followed by a ‘Meet The Players’ event at the Club between 5-7pm.

Our First XV then head to league counterparts Blackheath for what should be an entertaining evening of rugby under the Friday night lights on August 27. This should prove to be a good test ahead of our opener against Sale eight days later and it will be a 7:45pm kick-off at Well Hall.

Our Falcons are then in action on Saturday, August 28 as we welcome our local rivals Banbury to Thame for a 3pm kick-off. Many will remember our recent Oxfordshire Cup clashes and we hope this will prove to be another thrilling contest.
