Dear Players & Patents,
24/25 was an incredible year for Chinnor RFC at Age Grade level.
We recorded our biggest season ever, whether you are talking number of teams, players, events, spectators or volunteers:
1. Over 10,000 hours of age grade coaching and support by our fabulous volunteer coaching teams of coaches, coordinators, first aiders, referees, membership & safeguarding leads enabling over 600 players to play rugby
2. Our largest and best Mini's festival yet with over 3,000 people at Kingsey Road.
3. More tours and special trips than ever before, helping their personal and sporting development
4. Over 10,000 post-match hot dogs and meals from our kitchen
5. Players from a record number of schools in the area
6. England internationals players and coaches from the Red Roses and England Men meeting and coaching our boys and girls from 5-18 years of age.
7. More junior players involved in regional development pathways, including international, DPP, PDG and ACE recognition alongside those stepping up into Senior rugby at 18.
8. The most work experience and paid income our junior players have ever received from roles at the club.
9. More opposition teams than we've ever hosted previously
10. The most rugby formats we've ever played - with our Juniors playing 15s, 13s, 12s,10s, Sevens & T1 Rugby and our Minis tagging and tackling like demons in their own matches against teams of 4 to 9 players too.
For 25/26 we're going again.
We’re building a Bigger, Better Nest at Age Grade level.
That’s our new season goal.
In what we do, how we do it, what we offer, where, when and to whom.
Whether you are an Age Grade player, parent, family member, friend, teacher, carer, volunteer or sponsor.
Giving them new and more ways to get involved and get more out of being part of our amazing Chinnor community.
In everything we do, we're guided by a core purpose at Chinnor:
Become the national benchmark in the rugby and community value we offer as a club.
In practice, this means ensuring every individual has the support and resources they need to engage with us at the level that's right for them, whether that is:
• playing elite, community or age grade competitive rugby
• taking part in T1, Touch, Walking, Wheelchair or SEND rugby
• a supporter of our Chinnor players and teams
• simply taking advantage of our continuously developing Kingsey Road facilities, social events and wide range of non-rugby related community activities
Over the next few week's members of our Chinnor family will be sharing some of the exciting things
we're doing at Age Grade level for Season 25/26 they’re each passionate about.
Stay connected this summer as part of our pre-season countdown to 25/26.
