PLACES are still available for our volunteer coaches to attend the RFU’s Kids First Contact Rugby courses in May and June.
Amersham & Chiltern RFC is hosting the Kids First Tag Rugby course at 7pm on May 24. This is a two-hour course for those coaching and refereeing U6-U8 players. The course supports the development of active, purposeful, enjoyable and safe tag rugby environments for children. Participants will also learn the rules and practice refereeing tag rugby. A Kids First Contact Rugby course is being held at Oxford Harlequins RFC at 7pm on May 26 and June 2. This is for coaches, referees and teachers new to contact rugby. It will help participants to safely coach and referee the contact areas of the game and it is recommended that everyone coaching or refereeing contact rugby has completed this course. The courses involve mostly practical content and will be delivered in accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines.
Volunteer coaches need to book directly through the links in the attached posters. If requested, the Club will reimburse course fees on successful completion of the course.
