We're just a couple of days away from our opening pre-season friendly at Carmarthen Quins as the preparations intensify for the 2022/23 National 1 campaign.

Having retained the majority of last season's squad and announced our first group of signings a week ago, we can now welcome fly-half Will Kelly and second row Pietro Turrisi to our Chinnor Family.

Will, capped by Canada in 2019, joins from Major League Rugby side Toronto Arrows. Also capable of playing at inside centre, the 25-year-old fly-half adds further strength in depth to our backline.

At 19, Pietro is a promising young lock, who stands at 6ft 7ins and weighs in at 120kg. The Italy U20 international moved to England when he was 16 to join the Wasps ACE Rugby Programme and study at the City of Oxford College. Pietro is now a part of the Wasps Senior Academy and joins Chinnor on loan for this season.

Director of Rugby, Richard Thorpe said: "I am delighted to welcome Will and Pietro to our group. Will strengthens our options at 10 and 12, and brings with him an impressive kicking game. Pietro continues our strong relationship with Wasps by joining us on loan for the season. He is an exciting young prospect who will strengthen our lineout and impose himself physically around the pitch.”
