The rugby's been postponed, but the Christmas festivities will continue off the pitch

TOMORROW'S home double-header against Bishop's Stortford has been postponed due to health and safety reasons.

Our Men's First XV and Falcons were both due to be in action at Kingsey Road, but with two days of freezing temperatures and more to follow over the next 24 hours, the decision has been made to call off the fixtures.

A pitch inspection carried out by RFU match officials at 12pm today has confirmed that it would be too dangerous to play and we will announce the rescheduled date in due course.

Tonight's Touch Rugby session has also been cancelled due to the frozen pitches.

Of course, the rugby only formed part of a bumper Saturday at the Club and although the games may be postponed, Christmas most certainly is not.

Our Christmas Lunch (please note, this is fully booked) continues and has been pushed to 2pm, and we will have the European Champions Cup action on our screens.

We then have the very talented Tanya Brewster performing her brand of soulful ballads and funky ‘toons’ in the Members' Bar from 5pm, before the big World Cup quarter-final between England and France at 7pm.

It's safe to say there's still plenty going on off the pitch and please do come down and support the Club.

Please email generalmanager@chinnor-rfc.com with any ticketing queries.
