Chinnor travel to a red hot Doncaster

Chinnor make the long Bank Holiday journey to Doncaster on Saturday to take on an in form Doncaster Knights. Doncaster boast a star studded and expensively assembled squad and would have wanted to be pushing Ealing all the way for League title winners. However a surprisingly mixed start to the season when the team had yet to fully gel meant they were out of contention very early and still sit in mid table. Its a shame as Knights are the only team with the facilities deemed good enough to attain Premiership status so would have been in a play off if they' had won the league. Knights potential though can be seen in their wins against Trailfinders home and away and since the league fixtures resumed in March they have been in scintillating form. They beat Trailfinders at home and followed that with a high quality performance and win away at Bedford and crushing victories against London Scottish and Cambridge.
With an international class back 3 the Knights are hugely dangerous from broken field where Veainu and Rokoduguni are obvious threats alongside accomplished half backs Dolly and Bennet. In the pack the abrasive and physical George Roberts leads from the front and in Morgan Strong at 8 they have a strong ball carrier.
The Knights will be determined to beat Chinnor for the first time after losing at Kingsey Road in December. As you can see from their social postings this week they have a chip on their shoulder about the match and believe they were about to win the match when a powercut ended proceedings a few minutes early. The simple fact is Chinnor adapted to the horrendous conditions ( the worst ever witnessed on matchday) more effectively and deserved to win
