Eye on the Opposition- Coventry

John Vaughan17 Oct - 11:32

Chinnor welcome Champ heavyweights to Kingsey Road for first home match of the season.

Coventry are the first team to visit Kingsey Road this season in what promises to be a thrilling encounter on Saturday. The visitors will be buzzing with confidence after a pulsating 35-30 win against rivals Bedford last week. Coventry showed a razor sharp attacking edge with pace to burn out wide and an audacious attacking threat from new recruit Tom Bacon at full back. Indeed Coventry have recruited extremely well this season haave some real star performers throughout the spine of their team. Josh Thomas arrived from Dragons and Ospreys and adds astute game management experience at 10. Morgan Strong at number 8 another Welshman arrived from Doncaster and has been a standout performer in the Championship for a few years, a strong ball carrier and dangerous presence at the breakdown. He's joined in the back row by Mackenzie Graham from Bath, who was outstanding in the same fixture in March when Cov ran out eventual winner 37-45. In the front row the powerful Aristot Benz Soloman joined from Gloucester and Hartpury. These new recruits add to an already very formidable outfit with oustanding performers such as Nayalo and Poole.

We'll welcome a couple of ex Chinnor players . Josh Barton has been a good performer for Coventry since signing from Newcastle. A warm welcome will be guranteed for the very popular Keston Lines who left for Coventry after a few very successful season for the Black and Whites.

A big raucous Chinnor welcome and passion will be much needed to give the boys the lift they deserve. Bring the Noise and Roar the boys on!
