Bishop”s Stortford is traditionally a very tough hunting ground for Chinnor will again be a big test for the boys this weekend. Although the hosts don’t have a spectacular record this season they have been on the wrong end of some very tight encounters against the topsides in the League. The blue and whites play an expansive open game and this has led to some very high scoring encounters over the years in National one and two. Our victory away at the end of last season was only our second in all he years we have been playing so we are in no doubt Saturday’s match will be another tough shift.
Bishop’s enjoyed a high scoring win against Taunton last week and again showed their ability to score multiple tries. Experienced scrum half Connor Lloyd is a constant threat from the base and loves nothing more than a quick tap and go which often ends in him scoring tries. His half back partner Dan Cole ( no not that one) is also extremely influential and combines an all round game with excellent kicking from the tee.
With Stortford now looking up the table after a tough run of fixtures to start the season the boys will have to be on their mettle to counter what will inevitably be a passionate, committed and skilled opponent.
