Kicking, contact, footwork, interactive learning - we've got it all covered in December

HAVE your children been inspired by the World Cup?

Do they want to become the next Owen Farrell or Billy Vunipola?

Well, look no further than Chinnor Rugby Club Thame.

Following the success of our October half-term camp at Kingsey Road, our one-day skills and education course on Friday, December 20 between 9am-3.30pm is not far away.

Your child will be able to choose from three activities on the day. We will be offering a kicking clinic (goal-kicking, punt, drop goal and grubber), managing contact (involves all aspects of the contact area, from the tackle, ruck and maul) and footwork (how to beat a defender, speed and acceleration).

And in the afternoon we will be teaming up with our sponsors Tutor Doctor to deliver a fun and interactive science session incorporating rugby into learning.

You can book your place on the course, which costs £25, by clicking HERE.

The October camp saw a range of minis (8-9 years old) and juniors (12 years old) spend three days with our highly-skilled coaches, including players from the first XV.

They looked at various fundamental skills, including kicking, evasion and passing, all through skilled games and challenges. The days were filled with fun learning and lots of laughter.

Head of community Matt Goode said: "It's really important that the camps are challenging and fun for our players.

“We recognise that there is a variety of levels that need to be accommodated and our coaches have the right attitude and mix to make sure everyone leaves with a better understanding of the game, but most importantly a smile on their face."
