International Rugby comes to Kingsey Road 14th March **Tickets Available**

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the England and France U18 Men's international at Kingsey Road on Saturday 14th March.

This is the first home match for 3 years, Chinnor was selected due to our Champ Rugby standard facilities, medical provision, grass pitch and location. This will be a day for our club members to enjoy and celebrate as we hope to welcome many new supporters to Kingsey Road. It could even be a record crowd!

The fixture, set to take place on Saturday 14th March (14:00 GMT kick-off), is the first home game in three years for head coach Jonathan Pendlebury’s side.

The U18 Men take on their French counterparts in preparation for the 2026 U18 Men’s Six Nations Festival next April, having attained three wins from three over Scotland, Spain and France in the 2025 tournament.

The last time England hosted France at U18 Men’s level in 2023, British & Irish Lions tourist Henry Pollock captained the side that also included current England Men’s A players Vilikesa Sela and Kepu Tuipulotu with France narrowly winning 29-24.

With the U20 Men’s Elite Player Squad announced in September, 24 players who represented the U18 side last season progressed to be named in Andy Titterrell’s wider squad for this campaign.

Following last weekend’s meeting at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, the U18 Men will return to action at the England Performance Centre at Pennyhill Park on 5th December.

Further information on future England U18 Men’s fixtures, including the 2026 U18 Six Nations Festival, will be communicated in due course.

“We’re delighted to have this fixture to look forward to later on this season,” said Jonathan Pendlebury.

“Giving these young players the chance to explore at a high level is an exciting prospect as well as a learning opportunity for them to grow as players in front of a large crowd. We want to progress their development and put areas that we have been focusing on show for our home support.

“Our recent meetings with France away from home, as well as in Dublin and Stellenbosch, have been thrilling and challenging. We welcome Eric Lachaize’s team in a fixture that will best prepare both unions for another Six Nations campaign.”

Nick Stainton, Chairman of Chinnor RFC, said: “Chinnor RFC are delighted to host the England and France U18 Men’s teams. This is an honour and I’m sure rugby fans of all ages across Oxfordshire and surrounding counties will grab the opportunity to see the future national stars in action at a Kingsey Road on the 14th March.”

Please note: This is outside of the Chinnor Champ Rugby pre-season and league fixture schedule included in the 2025/26 Season Tickets.
