We are very happy to announce that the headline speaker at our next Big Business Lunch, on the 18th September, will be former Director General of the BBC, Tim Davie CBE.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Tim worked for Proctor and Gamble and then Pepsi before joining the BBC in 2005 as Director of Marketing, Communications and Audiences following which he held various roles and positions before being appointed Director General in 2020.

The BBC is a fascinating organisation. Competing with global content providers, maintaining editorial independence without bias, being an instrument of soft power for the UK on the global stage and managing celebrity talent...every day is different. That brings with it unique challenges be they dealing with the Royal Family, Government leaders or members of the public with whom he corresponded every week and Tim will, in conversation with us, share the highs, lows and funny moments of his tenure.

Outside of work Tim is a keen skier, runs ultra marathons and is a supporter of Crystal Palace FC.

We are grateful that Tim has agreed to come and speak at Chinnor so please book early as this event will be in high demand.

The event opens at 12:00, we will sit down at 1:00pm promptly for a delicious 3-course lunch prepared by Chef Paul and his team.
