Welcome to the 2015/2016 U9s season

As September arrives, so does the new rugby season. Here's a few things for your information for the new season.

Registration Day
On the 5th September, the club will open for it’s Registration Day from 10am until 1pm. It will be similar format to last year and the following will be available -
• Club Shop open
• OPRO for fitted gum shields
• Membership desks
• Free coaching session(s) for mini & junior players from 10.30 for an hour
• Coffee & bacon sandwiches available

Membership
For returning players – membership renewal can be done on-line again this year via Pitchero. If you go to the payments section, you should find the appropriate membership status applied. Any problems please contact the Chinnor Pitchero administrator, Dave Winpenny who will deal with any issues. Renewal can also be done at the registration day mentioned above.

Please do let us know if there are any changes to medical or contact details that we need for our records.

For new players – We will require you to complete a Chinnor contact details & medical form and a RFU membership form. This can be done on the 5th at the registration day. Forms will also be available at training sessions.

Mini’s kit
This season the club has changed the mini’s rugby shirts. The new shirts will not be available for a good couple of weeks to accommodate the new sponsor on the kit. If your child has outgrown their rugby shirt, then for the time being we’d ask you bring them in a top as close as possible to the Chinnor colours until the kit arrives.

No gum shield, no play
As we introduce contact rugby this season, all players will need to wear a gum shield. We appreciate for some parents this maybe new, and so for our first training session we will not enforce gum shields, but after that coaches will refuse to train any U9 who is not wearing a gum shield. If you need to get a gum shield, then OPRO will be available on the 5th September at the club registration day. You can check out the website here - http://www.opro.com

If for some reason you can’t attend on the 5th, then we would recommend you contact your dentist.

Training location for September
Due to the Thame show, U9s will be training at Lord Williams School. Our first training session is on the 6th September. Parents are asked to respect our neighbours in Thame by parking at the club and walking to the school. We will start at 10am.

Fixtures
The most up to date list of fixtures is found on Pitchero. We will update the fixtures with details of away matches during the week beforehand and where possible by Thursday at the latest. Please note that during the winter some fixtures can change last minute and so providing us with your most up to date contact details will ensure we keep you up to date of any changes as and when they happen.

We ask you to keep your availability updated in order for us to manage our fixtures against other clubs effectively.

Communication
The majority of our communication will be done via Pitchero, so please do keep a look out for updates throughout the weeks to make sure you have the latest news.

If you have any questions or concerns during the season then please do not hesitate to contact one of the following:
Rick Crook - Head Coach for U9s
Emma Canter or Kirsty Jones - Admin team for U9s

You will find us on the sideline/pitch most Sundays or can be contacted via email during the week.

On behalf of the U9s coaching team, we look forward to seeing you on the 6th September for another fantastic year of mini's rugby.
