Chinnor 2xv were firmly put in their place after the win against Barking, by a strong Richmond 2XV last weekend.
Once again the weather was good for this friendly against our National Three counterparts from Surrey.
Immediately Chinnor were put under pressure by strong and confident running by the Richmond back line. Throughout the game Chinnor’s first line defence was challenged. Too often it was found wanting as the 9 tries to 1 testifies.
Chinnor’s ace No 7, Max Williams was voted man of the match by Richmond as well as his team mates with a fine performance where at times he seemed to be tackling everything that moved. Thad Cooper scored Chinnor’s only try and added the conversion. The Seconds travel to Westcombe Park on Saturday for their next league game.
