Chinnor haven't tasted victory against the Hertfordshire men in over 3 seasons.

After getting back to winning ways with a 9 try demolition of Clifton last weekend, Chinnor will be looking for another big performance on the road against 2nd place Bishop's Stortford. In contrast to Chinnor's emphatic win, Bishop's Stortford had a frustrating day in a rainy Redruth, losing 24-13 to the Cornish men. Stortford will be keen to put things right and return to winning ways, while also closing Chinnor's lead at the top. Although Chinnor are top of the league, some will say that Bishop's go into in this game as favourites. Chinnor haven't tasted victory against the Hertfordshire men in over 3 seasons. This is set up to be a cracker of a game with the 2 top teams in the league putting it on the line for that important win.

Bishop's are a strong outfit upfront with a powerful scrum. Loose Head Rory Young will be looking for the same dominance in the scrum as he had against the Redruth pack. In the Back row openside flanker Dan Elsom will endeavour to be a handful at the breakdown. The ex Aussie Shute Shield player is a 7 in the traditional mould. Chinnor will look to be competitive and combative at the breakdown themselves. In the backs Thomas Banks will punish any Chinnor ill discipline as he has been in superb goal kicking form.

Chinnor have made 2 changes from the previous weekend with Nathan Hannay coming in for Ross Parkins in the row and Junior Fatialofa coming in for captain Bevon Armitage. Danny Barnes will run out as skipper this Saturday. Your ongoing support is very much appreciated and makes a massive difference to the boys on the pitch. Hope to hear you Saturday!
