Chinnor on good form on and off the pitch...

For starters, our 1st XV won against 5th placed Clifton. A very respectable 31:17 against a Clifton side who looked threatening throughout. 1st XV match report here:

Disappointingly, the opposition couldn’t muster a team for the 2nd XV, so their match was cancelled.

The colts, our combined U17s and U18s, took on Beaconsfield and beat them 32:12. This was a National Cup game and the team are looking forward to their next opposition.

U14s hosted Chipping Norton and U13s travelled to Reading. Both games played in great spirit with return fixtures planned.

Minis training was cancelled due to the freezing conditions early this morning.

Off the pitch, the Vice Presidents lunch (ahead of the 1st XV match) was well attended with the Oxen, Friday Club, sponsors and gourmet club all represented. At lunch, a short presentation was made to remember former Thamesian who went on to play at Clifton RFC before losing his life at the Somme in 1916. Thank you to all at lunch for your generosity in the raffle, fundraising and supporting the club.

A last word goes to the U11s and U12s who washed cars in the bitter cold Chinnor wind to raise funds for their first tour next year. Well done to them and their organisers!
