Chinnor RFC are delighted to announce the arrival of Prop duo Joe Rees and Camilo Parilli- O’Campo.

28 year old former Wales U20 Tight Head Joe Rees is one of the best scrummaging technicians below top flight rugby. Standing at 6ft 1’ and 138kg Joe lives for a scrum.

Having played over 30 games for The Ospreys in 3 seasons, Joe joined Worcester Warriors in season 2014 playing 24 times in his first term then a further 7 games in the Premiership the season after.

After following former Cardiff Blues coach Justin Burnell for a season at Rotherham Titans, Joe is currently back in his home country in his second season playing for The Principality Premiership Champions Merthyr Rugby whilst qualifying as a Mortgage Broker.

Joe commented, “Having decided to move back to England to be with my partner and pursue my working life I’m excited to be joining such an ambitious club as Chinnor and to play alongside my mate Dan George. Chinnor have quite clearly shown they are going places both on and off the pitch and I am keen to be part of that!”

29 year old man mountain Camilo Parilli O’Campo has enjoyed a 10 year professional career making his debut for Leicester Tigers in season 2010 before one season at Ealing Trailfinders then finding his home at Bedford Blues in 2014 where he became an invaluable member of their pack making 96 appearances before a serious leg injury at the start of this season stopped the 140 kg, 6ft 2’ monster reaching his 100 caps.

No stranger to National league rugby, whilst in the Leicester Tigers Academy Camilo also attended Loughborough University playing over 40 times for their National League team. He also represented England Students.

DOR Matt Williams commented, "I am delighted to have secured Camilo and Joe’s services. Their CV’s need no introductions and with our scrum not always functioning as I’d like props have been the key focus for me in next season’s initial recruitment. We need a bigger depth to the squad, particularly in the front row. Jack Gilding has played many 80 minutes which is tough on a Tight Head! Ealing and Coventry have been great when we have needed help but next season it’s important we don’t have to rely on third parties when we have injuries. With a combined weight of nearly 280kg I’d be disappointed if Camilo and Joe go backwards!”
