Playing for 'Promoted team bragging rights' Saturday 19 January

Taken from the Cinderford website-
Cinderford RFC was formed in 1886 and was soon playing many leading clubs in England and Wales. The club’s fortunes and that of the local mining community were closely linked and both declined during the inter-war years with a number of local rugby heroes ‘going north’ to seek their fortunes in what is now ‘The Rugby League’. Cinderford RFC re-emerged after the Second World War and regained its Dockham Road home in 1956. Fifty years of hard work and the foresight of a few individuals have furnished the club with a splendid ground that is the envy of many.

With both teams having been promoted from National two south last season, there is a sense of familiarity about our next home 1st XV game.
Chinnor savoured victory at Cinderford earlier this season but rest assured that if there is one game that Cinderford want to win during the second half of the season, it is this one!

You may recall that when Cinderford visited on 27 January 2018 they ran out winners 14-26, so the scene is set for another exciting, tense and tightly contested game of rugby.

Cinderford's large contingent of travelling support contributed to a bumper attendance of over 800, so we will need you all at Kingsey Road to roar the boys on.
