Where to start, what to say!

We've had a brilliant moment in time at the club; a superb win against Redingesians, the successful launch of the Inaugural Business lunch, the ever flourishing Picnic Ball and the Battle of Dockham Road last week!

Without wanting to sound like a broken record this season has so far been the most enjoyable I've ever experienced both as a player or as a coach and I think the reason why is the buy in we've had as a squad to the overall culture we have tried to create this season. Yes we can be a little maverick at times but it works. We are not Full time Professional's paid to turn up and cross the white line so there has to be a balance of fun and play.

I'm a huge fan of the style of management and the belief of the 90's 'LA Raiders'. Their belief was that the most successful sports teams are the ones that demonstrate the greatest commitment to their people - the greatest sense of belonging. And this is what we try and achieve at Chinnor. You ask anyone of my players after the game today and they will tell you exactly this! We play very hard on the field but the brotherhood off it is an even stronger bond that keeps the machine in order. Yes we oil it where necessary but they keep it rolling, and at speed!

We are playing a great brand of rugby and have scored some brilliant tries but it's our defence that has made a serious jump forward as Cinderford found out last week! At times brutal , it is this commitment to put bodies on the line that is an exact testament to the 'Raiders' analogy.

That said we cannot sit back, pat each other on the back and revel in last weeks battle of the 'unbeaten teams.' Judds are a team we know little about and that makes them very dangerous! They have already taken the scalps of Henley and Clifton not including the 50 point drubbing of Bury first game up. We are fully aware of potential banana skins and this is one, so we need to put the foot to the floor from minute one and make sure we complete the job

The beer festival Saturday is always a cracker of a day and the weather forecast is superb so let’s have you out en-masse to help spur on another big performance.

Looking forward to sharing a beer on the other side!

Matt
