On Saturday Chinnor travel to high flying Old Elthamians. OE’s currently sit 7th in National Two South after wins against Bury St Edmunds (18-17), Southend (38-29) and a draw against Cambridge (14-14). Old Elthamians have recruited heavily over the summer with the signings of Number 8 Tom Brown Ealing Trailfinders former captain. He is joined in the pack by forwards coach and former London Scottish Prop Aaron Liffchak. OE’s backline has been added with the signings of Fly Half Ross Broadfoot and ex Rotherham wing Craig Dowsett. Chinnor will be hoping for a repeat performance from last year where many supporters will recall Chinnor coming back from 14-0 with 14 men to eventually win 26-24 with a try on the last play.
This week sees a settled Chinnor team with two changes in personnel in the front row with Mark Darlington moving into the starting team and also sees Cornish Pirates loanee Jay Tyack get his first start. In the backline Jack Adams comes in for Junior Fatialofa with Robbie Martey moving onto the bench spot.
