Our opponents for this weeks game is Dorking Rugby Club who although relative newcomers to the league after getting promoted to National 2 South in 2014 were many peoples stand out team last season. This was shown by finishing fourth last year with a total of 22 wins and only 6 losses. However one of those losses was to Chinnor in the same fixture last year in what can only be described as a game for rugby purists where Chinnor won 6-5 in thick mud. This season Dorking have lost three games to Cambridge 32-14, Clifton 56-26 and Old Elthamians 24-17 and have beaten Chinnors last weeks opponent Bishop Stortford 24-17.
Even though these losses may have been disappointing Dorking captain Armand Roux says “We do need to get back to winning ways, and it is a mental thing as much as anything.
We need to have a positive mentality and we are not going to panic.
It is a mental challenge for us at the moment, but the sooner we can get back to winning ways, the better.”
