We finish off the series with our 2nd XV

With the 2021/22 campaign coming to an end, we have pulled together a series of informal end-of-season reports for our senior teams. We finish with our Falcons and coach Dan Harris answers our questions.

FALCONS

Record: P:11; W:6; D:1; L:4

Points Scored: 285

Biggest win: 36-14 v Henley (A)

How would you grade your season (A*-U)? B+

Why? Our Falcons represented the desire and demand for the Club to have more of a unified playing pathway. It was fantastic to see that our Falcons in every game was made up of players from the First XV, Wildboys, Colts and Oxen. Every player who turned out consistently showed a level of commitment and desire that we are striving for at Chinnor. The modern structure and demands on players and teams means that the Falcons is becoming a difficult proposition, we struggle to find quality opposition and suffer from the demands of the rest of the Club’s priority league games. However, we believe it is an essential part of developing players and supporting the First XV squad. The season has been a particular success in giving some of our young players essential experience and development. Our young players such as Brad Harewood, Dan Thomas, Dylan Taylor and Ben Mulholland have really benefited and will hopefully be a big part of the Senior Squad in the years to come.

Most memorable moment?
Drawing away at Cinderford and beating the RAF with the last kick of the game.

Funniest moment?
