England Rugby has developed a programme to encourage more young people
between the ages of 14-25 to get more involved in the community (or non-
playing) side of the game. It gives people the opportunity to make a
difference in the local community and get more people enjoying rugby
while being recognised for their involvement in supporting the game.
Chinnor RFC has decided to link into this for 2016/17 with support from
the Board & Management team with members of the Community Team co-
ordinating this: Carol Bradbrook-Taylor & Steve Trenchard.

YRA: Driving Rugby Forward

Being part of the Young Rugby Ambassador programme gives you the
opportunity to gain recognition for your involvement in supporting
rugby – there are countless ways to get involved, and valuable
benefits, from professional skills to free stash. It can also be
linked in to the community strand of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Who can be a YRA?

Anybody aged 14-25 and wants to support rugby in their local area.

Here are some the ways you can get involved on and off the pitch:

Ambassador roles

Refereeing (Min age 14- Refereeing both the 15 a-side game and Mini
Rugby)

Coaching ( Min age 14 for Rugby Ready, TAG, CPD's, Min age 16 for
level 1)

Events - organising and assisting

Social Media

Work within the Club

You can decide how often and for how long you help out. It could be
refereeing a match once a week or helping out at an event once a year.
There’s a huge variety of ways to support rugby in your area, from
managing a club’s social media to coaching mini’s and juniors. We
already have some ideas of how you can get involved at the club and
within the local community. e.g. fund raising for your tour, SOS Kit
Aid, fixtures board, allocation of changing rooms & pitches.

How it works?

The YRA programme is in partnership with vInspired, who provide the
tool to set yourself a goal for the number of hours you want to
complete and will help you keep track of what you have achieved. The
more hours you give, the more we give back to you.

The milestones you will receive reward are; 10,30,50 and 100 hours. You
will receive certificates and exclusive YRA stash.

How to get involved?

We are looking for young people to get involved. If you are interested
