An overcast day with glimpses of sunshine and a very hard pitch set the scene for the rugby whilst the clubhouse prepared the post-match meal. Different combinations of U15s and U16s were played to match the opposition and Chinnor were generally stronger on the field.

Tour organiser Robert Lyell thanked Alan Beveridge for hosting their team. He wrote "...to thank all of your club coaches, administrators etc. for the hospitality that you gave us last Sunday. From the first moment (the sight of the buzzard sitting on the cross-bar, the welcome from your U16s) our boys were able to experience the ambiance of a British club, with the level of involvement of parents and club members that they rarely see in France. All members of the TEC thoroughly enjoyed the experience, all of the match variations, and your hospitality in the clubhouse afterwards. They have all asked me to thank you very warmly."
