by Ken Vaughan 7 superb team tries saw off a spirited Canterbury Side

With almost their first touch of the ball Chinnor scored from 70m out with a break away try by Bertie Hopkin. On 19 minutes referee Nick Wood yellow carded the Canterbury No 7 and almost immediately Mike Mcdonald seized on a gap to over from 10m out to add to the Chinnor score . Henry Lamont added another try before a sprint from the loose head Tom Price saw off several tackles before going over under the posts. Just before half time Mike Mcdonald went over again following a rolling maul when a big gap opened up for him to shoot through and score .This put Chinnor in the lead 29-0 on the half time whistle.
Canterbury showed they meant business from the restart when they applied constant pressure on the Chinnor line before eventually Kenny scored , converted by Braithwaite. From then on despite Canterbury trying hard to get back into the game they could not prevent a flowing move which resulted in Henry Lamont scoring his second try .From then on it was nearly all Chinnor and good support play saw Jonny Bentley score Chinnor’s last try under the posts.
Once again Chinnor’s defence stood out along with their ball handling that provided the finishing touches.
