Bob the Builder reports....

The project is slightly under budget and is a quarter completed. Works are generally ahead of programme by between a week and ten days

Progress is as expected this week with the floor being installed for the kitchen and WC extensions, the old office in now a shell and the steel is ready for the lobby / stairwell extension. The steel reinforcement detail has been received and the internal walls are ready for the cast in-situ floor.

The project is slightly under budget and is a quarter completed. Works are generally ahead of programme by between a week and ten days. There are a couple of activities that are marginally behind programme but look to come back on track by the end of the week.

Savings have been made by modifying the drainage to remove the need for a pumped chamber. This is good news for the project and also gives us reduced running costs for the club. Wifi coverage at the club is still wobbly despite some extra wiring – not a building project issue, but will be much improved once the construction work is complete and a new switch is installed ready for the new season…

Key activities for this coming week are completing the brickwork up to plate level for the two-storey element (the roof joists arrive this week), installing the block and beam floor for the new entrance and preparing the entrance for the pre-cast stairs to be delivered (due in 2-3 weeks’ time).

Bring on the sunshine….!!
