Welcome to the Chinnor RFC website - the 2007/2008 SW
Division 1 CHAMPIONS |
Over
the past few years, Chinnor RFC has continued to develop its strength in
depth which saw the club gain promotion in 2006 to the National League
Division Three South as the YOUNGEST club EVER to
gain promotion to this level.
In 2007 - 2008 Chinnor has played
its South-West Division One and gained PROMOTION back to National League
Division 3 South at the first attempt. We look forward to seeing you at
Kingsey Road sometime during the season. Our other senior teams play in
various leagues; Canterbury Shield Division 2 (2nd XV), Bucks/Berks and Oxon
Premier A (3rd XV) and Bucks/Berks & Oxon League 2 South (4th XV).
Most of the 1st XV squad
come through the ranks of the junior and senior teams as a result of
the excellent coaching available at all levels within the club.
Ex-Chinnor
players feature also at the highest level in English rugby; Dave Seymour
(Saracens), Tom Varndell (Leicester) and Paul Volley (Harlequins).
