The West Country provides a wealth of hardened opposition for our older Falcons when they take a weekend trip ‘on tour’.

Together with a well briefed entourage of coaches and parent helpers the Under 11 and U12 groups head off by ‘luxury coach’ to the Bath, Bristol, Bridgewater area.

Where possible the Falcons play a ‘match opener’ for a league game involving the Chinnor 1^st XV. In this instance they would then stay on to watch and support our senior players before heading off to a Youth Hostel for tea.

Evening entertainment on this first day of the tour will involve a trip to ‘Laser Quest’ or the private use of a swimming pool. Anything to ensure that anyone under the age of 13 is suitable shattered before bed time.

Next morning, after a hearty cooked breakfast, the Falcons play in a ‘triangular’ fixture or small tournament, before beginning the often very noisy journey home.

Our 11 and 12 year olds do a fair bit of growing up on this trip, and they always have a great time.

Special attention is paid to child protection issues and equity on this tour. All participating adults are ‘police checked’ with the Criminal Records Bureau before the touring party. Great fun!
