Canterbury Shield again for the 2nd's

Last season while the 1st XV found National league rugby too high a hill to climb, the 2nd XV entered the Canterbury Shield for the first time and held their own - in fact if you look at 2006/2007 season archive you will see that they did very, very well. So, for this season its the Canterbury Shield again.

Here we will be able to "blood" our young talent to prepare them for future National League rugby here at Chinnor - the boys are up for it and lets hope they have another fantastic season.

The Canterbury Shield is a structured league competition for National 2nd , 3rd and 4th XV's who lack real competitive matches. There are now three Divisions and plans for adding another two. If you would like to know more about this competition, please go to the Shield website
