The Chinnor Rugby Academy has just completed its first season; a first season that saw the team play Nottingham Academy, Blackheath Academy, Loughborough University Freshers and Torquay Athletic.  In addition, the players benefited from guest training sessions from Wasps coaches, and a number of the lads played 2nd, 3rd or 4th team senior rugby too.

Next season we are looking for high quality 18, 19 and 20 yr old players to join us as we continue in our quest to become a top level UK Academy side.  We have a stern fixture list with games against Guinness Premiership, Welsh Premiership, National 1, National 2 and top University U19/U20 sides.  In between games we will spend time in developing the players as individuals, and as a squad.

We are hoping to continue the coaching link with Wasps; we are also in discussion with Coventry, a major National Division 1 side, to hopefully join their senior squad in training during the pre season.  We have secured the services of a fitness/conditioning coach, and a dedicated defence coach.  We will be looking to book speciality coaching sessions, and will invite Premiership players to give occasional guest coaching clinics.  In addition, we have our own high quality and experienced in house coaching team, all determined to create the right environment for young players to become top-level senior players.

Pre season training commences in early June 2007.
