2006/2007 season

With the fantastic success in the 2005/2006 season behind us, we went into our first season in the National League Division Three South full of anticipation and excitement. Chinnor RFC had hit the big time - we had our results shown on the BBC each week and everyone was ready for the season to come.

Unfortunately, the season proved to be a much bigger challenge than we expected and unfortunately the season proved to be one where we learnt a great deal, won a few matches, but found the quality, pace and size of National league rugby a bit too big to handle.

Relegation was our destiny, but all good clubs learn from the troublesome times and Chinnor has looked deep and have decided our strategy for the years to come and we are confident that we will have learnt a great deal so that WHEN we get promoted again to the National leagues we will be ready.

The following pages give you a view of the season which was not all bad news by any stretch of the imagination. As you will see we had many successes on the field with many of our teams, the club is financially strong and looking forward to even more fantastic memories to come.
