After just losing out to
Henley by two points Chinnor showed the runners up competition how
rugby should be played.
Throughout the tournament
Chinnor only let through TWO tries but racked up a total of 256
points against their opponents.
Today was no different. With
fine weather over Kingey Road, with a strong right to left wind
tries were run in by Bartlett, Percival, Hope and Roberts in the
first half, all successfully converted by Ben Carrington.
After substituting Abbot for
Carrington, Smith for McCorkell and Greenwood for Reiss, Chinnor
started their second half assault on a defeated looking Oxford side.
Tries in the second half by
Bartlett (2), Benson and Percival helped run the score up by
48pointswith Jack Benson converting one of the three tries ran in,
making the score 50 points to nil.
With eighteen minutes played
the Oxford coach called time on a mauling that the Oxford Harlequins
will wish to avoid the next time they meet Chinnor U13’s.
