Chinnor 1st XV
52 vs. Oxford Harlequins 1st XV 6
Saturday 26th February 2005
South West Division One
In the lead up to the
Oxfordshire Cup Semi-final everyone was expecting a close match when
Oxford Harlequins visited Chinnor for the 1st of two back to back
matches. Initially, it looked like this would be the case, but as the
game wore on Chinnor mastered the elements and ran out very convincing
victors.
James Cathcart was in
tremendous form with the boot and kicked Quins back on many occasions as
well as showing his reliability when penalties and conversions were
kicked.
A great team effort
from Chinnor and this should bolster their confidence for next weeks
crucial Oxon Cup Semi-final. Quins will have to search deep to gain
anything positive from today's encounter.
Match report from IATC:
Chinnor 52 (Tries: Cathcart, Whelan,
Thompson, Oxley, Milburn, Hutchings. Cons: Cathcart 5. Pens: Cathcart
